What are the next steps for Gaza?

ÃÛÑ¿´«Ã½ OS

Available for 16 days

There is uncertainty over the next steps for Gaza, after 20 living Israeli hostages and hundreds of Palestinian detainees were reunited with their families as part of a ceasefire deal. Our Gaza correspondent says there are fears among Palestinians that Hamas's delay in handing over the bodies could derail the fragile ceasefire. We speak to Udi Goren, who is still waiting for his cousin Tal Haimi's body to be returned. An elite military unit in Madagascar says it has taken power, ousting President Andry Rajoelina. We speak to our correspondent there and hear from protesters. And Cape Verde have become the second-smallest nation to reach the World Cup after the islanders beat Eswatini 3-0 at home. We hear from people there. OS presenter: Rahul Tandon. (Photo: Heavy machinery removes debris from a street, amid a ceasefire between Israel and Hamas, in Gaza City, October 14, 2025.
