When a family finds a lost passport, they don’t know what to do. With their city in chaos, they think scammers are everywhere, and they don’t know who to trust. Will they take the risk and return it? The Passport by Ainur Karim is is a family comedy from Kazakhstan. It is the winner of the English as a Second Language prize from the ÃÛÑ¿´«Ã½ World Service/British Council International Playwriting Competition 2020. Hosted by the ÃÛÑ¿´«Ã½ World Service and the British Council, the competition offers a unique opportunity for playwrights to use the medium of audio drama to reach a global audience. The competition has two first prizes – one for writers with English as a First Language and another for writers with English as a Second Language. Both winners attend an awards ceremony in London and see their plays recorded for broadcast and streaming on the ÃÛÑ¿´«Ã½ World Service.
