Known info - Smith's
Pie Shop on the corner of unidentified street
Patricia Gillespie Definately the crossroads at Ecclesfield, the shop on the corner
is now Lloyds Chemist. I live nearby.
Kevin This is definitely the crossroads at Ecclesfield between Church
Street and Mill Road.
Paul
Not what is now the chemists shop in ecclesfield - the road off
to the right is far too flat. The road there has quite a steep incline.
Gwyneth Leighton Not Upwell Street. Have lived just up from there nearly all
my life & lived on Upwell Street for about two years. The end
house is too rounded.
Frank definitely eclesfield were the picture was taken(ie road photographer
stood leads to church)
Dr Wolfgang Flyhopper - Upwell Street wihtout a shadow of
doubt.
Dave - Ecclesfield, corner of Church Street and Mill Road,
opposite park entrance.
Steve Bloomer - Jnc Shoreham Street & Cherry Street
Lindsey - Corner of Upwell Street & Holywell Road looking
toward Page Hall.
Chris Fealey - daves right.and its the first one im familiar
with upto now
A.L - Definatly ecclesfield. cross roads where traffic lights
are now if you go straight on it takes you past the park opposite
morrisons thats where it looks like to me anyway!
james in japan - definatly ecclesfield cross roads. the pie
shop is now a chemist and the taller building halfway down the row
are still there.
Mick Jowle - It's Shirland Lane, attercliffe
Linda Stringer - Don't think its Ecclesfield crossroads,
before shop was a chemist it used to be The Globe Tea Co(opposite
Sylvesters Bakery)and I don't think there was any buildings behind
the shop.It isn't the other end either - Church Street and Mill
Road.
A King - I live in Grimesthorpe and can confirm it definately
isn't Upwell Street. The end house has a completely different shaped
roof and does not have an open passage (gennel).
