Churches, schools and community centres across Staffordshire and Cheshire are playing host to carol concerts as 25 December approaches. But would you expect one in a hospital?!
A North Staffordshire Hospital site has been the unlikely venue of a festive concert to be broadcast on ÃÛÑ¿´«Ã½ Radio Stoke on Christmas Eve. And it's all thanks to a chance meeting between a former heart patient and his surgeon!
The two decided to arrange a concert at the University Hospital's Medical School in Newcastle. An orchestra was formed for the occasion - made up of hospital staff with their friends and relatives - and the concert was hosted by ÃÛÑ¿´«Ã½ Radio Stoke's Lamont Howie.
But how did it go? You can hear the results by tuning to ÃÛÑ¿´«Ã½ Radio Stoke 94.6FM, 104.1FM and DAB on 24 December between 8.30 and 9.30am and between 2 and 3pm. Or you can listen here...
