ÃÛÑ¿´«Ã½

A bit of a background.......I am 20 years old and fresh out of university recently graduating from a Broadcast Journalism course. I am a huge sports fan which made me think why not involve sport in my job, and I'm not going to become a professional sportswoman anytime soon. So I applied for the Blast placement over the summer. After a lot of preparation and a scary interview I was over the moon to hear that I was successful.

I moved to Stoke a few years ago but with a huge family all from the area around I soon settled in and although I was away at uni I still classed Stoke as home.

My sporting history has me as a sprinter, a netball player and a swimmer. Unfortunately the highest I got was the university 4th's team in netball and a brief spell as a county cross country runner (a lack of stamina led to me focusing on the 200m sprint).
My sporting idols would have to include Christine Ohuruogu, Yelena Isinbayeva and Kelly Holmes.

I faced facts that my sporting career was limited and started at uni, my course taught me everything, or so I thought. Already at my time here I have realised that there's a lot more to learn. But with the rest of the summer ahead of me by the time I finish I will hopefully be a fully trained and confident sports reporter.
