Do you have sympathy with Rob's story?

It a sad reflection on so called modern society that people like rob who slip through the social net get swept under the carpet and ignored. This is a fact of life any one of us can fall on hard times maybe because of divorce, depression, redundency, trouble with the law etc when that happens isnt it a measure of the quality of our society how we treat people down on their luck? Shame on those amongst us that shun, ignore, look down upon, think we're better than those in that position. We all have a duty to care and help others down on their luck in our society...there are some serial spongers but the majority need our help to get back on their feet.who would step forward to deny that? Like Rob, I lived in the Sally Army Hostel. I was homeless and had no one to turn to and those lovely people rescued me. I stayed there for a year eventually getting a job and a nice flat. I can't thank the Salvation Army enough. They are what Christianity ought to be about.
