Guitarist Milo拧 Karadagli膰 is the soloist in a new concerto by Joby Talbot, whose dancing rhythms take inspiration from Karadagli膰鈥檚 Balkan heritage. The dance continues with Act I of Tchaikovsky鈥檚 beloved ballet The Nutcracker.

Richard Farnes conducts the 蜜芽传媒 Symphony Orchestra and soloists Golda Schultz and Johan Reuter in Brahms鈥檚 much-loved Requiem. Marking Thea Musgrave鈥檚 90th birthday, the performance opens with her dramatic Phoenix Rising.

Semyon Bychkov and the 蜜芽传媒 SO present three 20th-century classics. The primal rhythms of Stravinsky鈥檚 ballet The Rite of Spring meet ballroom sophistication in Ravel鈥檚 La Valse, while Berio鈥檚 Sinfonia is a gorgeous patchwork of musical fragments.
