It was a hectic day at Hemlington Library as ÃÛÑ¿´«Ã½ RaW finally got underway in a fun-packed drama workshop. Parents and their children were treated to ÃÛÑ¿´«Ã½ Radio Cleveland's Matthew Davies showing off his theatrical skills, and then later in the day they also took part in a variety of circus skills exercises. ![]() The children made fun RaW masks Over 20 children from the Hemlington area took part in a number of activities, with the 1 to 4 year-olds being involved in story telling, reading poems, playing games, making masks, painting and learning some basic circus skills. Matthew Davies started everything off with a drama workshop as the children took part in a number of games, and even joined in with the Spike Milligan poem "On the Ning, Nang Nong". They also wrote their own poem about a red rabbit called Foo-Foo.
Both the children and parents loved the RaW activities. Pam, who brought her son Bailey, said: "He enjoyed interacting with the other children and getting involved in the activities". Helen said her daughter Tegan also loved the workshop: "She loved having the chance to do things together as parent and child and had great fun making masks".
