From Teesside to London

A student has discovered footage of the first flight from Teesside to London - see it here.

In November 1969, the first flight from Teesside Airport took off for London.

Teesside University student Mark Rye got in touch with ÃÛÑ¿´«Ã½ Tees' John Foster after discovering undiscovered footage of the flight.

This film is now forming part of a module for Mark and his pal's final assessment (and if you look closely, you can spot a much younger John Prescott).

Were you there? Do you know anyone who was? Did you work at the airport or one of the airlines?

Take a look at the footage and if you can help, get in touch with us.

Join John Foster from 7 to 10am weekdays and from 6.30 to 9pm on Saturday's on ÃÛÑ¿´«Ã½ Tees.
