"Absolutely disgraceful"

Loyal Luton react to the news that the Hatters have lost their appeal against a points deduction by the Football Association.

At a meeting at their headquarters in London, the Football Association have confirmed that the ten point deduction imposed for illegal payments will stay.

"We're bigger than this, we can come through and next year we can win the League."

Kevin Lennon, Loyal Luton

It comes on top of the 20 point deduction imposed by the Football League for their failure to exit administration. Fans had gathered at the FA to plead for leniency but their appeals have fallen on deaf ears.

It means they will start their League Two campaign on minus 30 points.

Kevin Lennon from the fan club Loyal Luton, is angry with the Football Association.

"It's absolutely disgraceful" he said, shortly after the appeal was dismissed.

"The Football Association have just shown that Ìýthey've got no time or light of day for small clubs. They've really highlighted that cheating prospers at the end of the day.

"What it means is that it shows we've got no trust in the regulators, but I think that we're bigger than this and it's time that we all roll our sleeves up and we all pull together and come through this all together."

As a supporters club, Loyal Luton say that the most important job now is to get supporters together behind the team.

"Mick Harford has already said about making Kenilworth Road a fortress, so let's go out and do that" continued Kevin.

"Let's get behind the team and let's try and get those 30 points back as soon as possible.

"Let's show football that we've been dealt with unjustly but we're bigger than this, we can come through and next year we can win the League."ÌýÌýÌýÌý

More Reaction

Ex-Luton Town boss, David Pleat gave his reaction to the ÃÛÑ¿´«Ã½.

"It's very disappointing, the way events have turned out. You just have to hope that in adversity, Luton Town can gain strength and bounce back.

"I think the twenty point deduction was to be expected, however the additional ten points, it doesn't seem on the surface as though the Club did anything majorly wrong - it appears to be technicalities, and that's the sad part of it."

And his thoughts for the future of Luton Town FC?

"The Club, the Council, the town of Luton, MUST find a stadium where Luton Town can play, play well in, progress up the League - that's the way it's got to be in the future. I think that Kenilworth Road has been such a handicap over the years, because as soon as the Club gets a good team, they just can't sustain it, can't support it, can't finance it and they then have to sell the players.Ìý Hopefully, one day they'll get out of that mode.

"Luton Town have some terrific supporters, but they have to be strong, they have to be loyal now and they have to get behind their team".

Since becoming a Luton Town supporter over 45 years ago when my Dad and other generations of my family (They will be turning in their grave after this news) took me to my first game, I have over those years been on an 'Emotional Rollercoaster' with many 'ups' but many 'downs'. But this latest news is one of total devastation and something that you only have in a ‘Nightmare from Hell’. Well, this is exactly where these so-called 'Guardians of Football' the FA and FL should hold their heads in shame and head forth. As Luton and genuine Football supporters have said over the ensuing weeks, we shall not be beaten, and we will be stronger for this in the long term, as it will galvanise us for the fight ahead.Mick Harford and the lads with the gallant leadership of the new owners LTFC2020, will 'raise above this' and overcome everything that is thrown at them and us fans, as we are bigger than this, and will ‘just love it' to stick two fingers up to both these football authorities to prove them wrong. This decision could well have a detrimental effect on NOT only MY Football Club, but others throughout the country and will be set a precedent, unless they happen to amend their rules, the insolvency policy for one, which in my eyes is totally inconsistent and unfair. Finally, I plead with ALL Luton Town fans and supporters of the 'game we all love' to make a BIG effort to get to Kenilworth Road, and purchase or renew their season ticket or come match by match basis. Because what these Football authorities have done to OUR club, and could happen to many others in the coming months, is to try and put us ‘out of existence’, by using us as ‘scapegoats for being honest and up front, which in their eyes doesn’t meet with their remit.LUTON TOWN WILL ‘NEVER DIE’ – there will always be a Luton!PS - this will make me even stronger to support my home town football club !!LUTON TOWN WILL ‘NEVER DIE’ – there will always be a Luton !

Just an idea! but having heard that Paul Gascoigne is living in the area and depending on his health maybe he could get involved with training at Luton. He could just be the inspiration on the training ground that Luton need and could be good rehab for him. I hope someone sees this and agrees. COME ON LUTON!!

Mr Timothy Parsfield
So the FA have shown that they can treat 'little' clubs with utter contempt, let us as Luton Town fans show some contempt towards the FA. I urge all Luton fans who normally go to Wembley to support our oh-so-wonderful natiional team to boycott the next England game against Czech republic in August. It might not make any difference to England, Wembley or the FA, but it will make me feel better that they are not getting their grubby little hands on my money!!Luton Town are too big to die!!! Yes, it will be a struggle, but if we all stand united as fans, we can make K.Road as intimidating a stadium as any where. Lets get down there in droves...wear the Luton shirt with pride. Dust off the straw boaters we wore so respendently at Wembley not so many years ago, and show the football authorities that WE Care about OUR club, even if they dont!!!

sod ,em they cant throw nothing else at us, we will beat the drop and we now have a new begining,so lets all get together like never before and show those at the f.a. and the f,l that we can rise from the ashes and show them that luton town 2020 fc will never DIE. GOD BLESS LUTON TOWN

John, Niall and Liam
COME ON YOU HATTERS! Bring us sunshine to the Kenny! We are not going to let the FA and FL win! Rise above the poor decisions and show them that we are the greatest team in the WORLD!
