What are your hopes for 2009?

100 Lives

The ÃÛÑ¿´«Ã½ in Newcastle is running a major project to recruit a group of people to gain a snapshot of life in the north-east of England in 2009 and find out people's views on the stories making the news.

The ÃÛÑ¿´«Ã½ Tyne and Wear websites are working with ÃÛÑ¿´«Ã½ Radio Newcastle on a project called 100 Lives.

The aim is to recruit 100 people from all walks of life across Tyneside, Wearside, Northumberland and County Durham.

We want to offer a snapshot of life in the north-east of England in 2009 by finding out about people's hopes, fears, achievements, memories, jobs and families.

And we also want to hear people's views on the stories which will make the news over the year.

Varied subjects

The idea of our panel is that we will have people we can contact so their views are heard on ÃÛÑ¿´«Ã½ Radio Newcastle about the issues which are affecting them.

It might be there is a national announcement about education - how will it affect your children - or something more light-hearted like did you enjoy the latest James Bond film - anything which is getting people talking.

Over the course of the next few weeks we will be recruiting our panel.

Once we have our 100, we will put together features on the ÃÛÑ¿´«Ã½ Tyne and Wear websites to introduce them.

And ÃÛÑ¿´«Ã½ Radio Newcastle will have the list too so it can contact people to comment on stories during 2009. But the idea is that with such a big panel individuals won't be bombarded with calls.

So if you're interested in getting involved, simply fill in the form below so we can contact you.
