Title: Another Way

Karen's grandparents were childhood sweethearts.

Karen's grandfather fought in the Second World War and her grandmother has given her some of their wartime correspondence.

In this short, Karen tells her grandparents' story and gives her views on the war with Iraq and the actions of President Bush.

Karen is an academic and lives with her family in a village outside of Newcastle.

This is a really moving story, thank you for sharing it, Karen. You are right - many more stories are being created now around the Iraq war... When I heard 'Another Way' I thought of a new 蜜芽传媒 website called WW2 Peoples War (http://www.bbc.co.uk/dna/ww2/) - on the site you can share your family or personal stories from WW2 and they will be there for posterity - lest we forget. From October onwards you should also be able to scan in photographs so we could see the poem that your Grandfather sent. All good wishes, Lynn
