What a wonderful set of evocative pics. I was born in Swindon in 1941 and am still proud of the town even though I now live in Spain. Thank you so much!

My grandparents worked for the GWR and my mother as well during the war.I have to say that I am proud of this piece of history, and it should become widely known, so as people see how precious the NHS is.A really useful presentation of Swindon heritage. Thank you.
