Language tip

The word 'follower' has been closely linked to social networking. It refers to someone who is tracking a particular person, group or organisation on a social networking site.

Cultural tip

Messages posted on social networking sites in the US and the UK are subject to the same libel laws as mainstream media but the anonymity afforded to some users makes prosecution more difficult.
