Iran protests

The Iranian opposition has called for a day of mourning and major new protests as the dispute over the country's presidential election continues.

The أغر؟´«أ½'s World Have Your Say programme spoke to four Iranians around the world for their views on the crisis.

Rachel Harvey began by asking an opposition protester in Tehran, who wanted to be called Bee, what he had seen on the streets of the capital on Wednesday.

Heavy restrictions have been placed on foreign news organisations operating in Iran.

Reporters are not allowed to cover unauthorised gatherings or move around freely in Tehran, but there are no controls over what they can say.

The أغر؟´«أ½'s Julian Keane spoke to Robert Fisk of the British newspaper The Independent, in Tehran.

Julian also spoke to Saeed Rajaie-Khorassani, Iran's former ambassador to the United Nations.

The Iranian leadership has dismissed international criticism and has hit out at what it has called "intolerable interference" from the United States.

Is the US administration really meddling?

Suzanne Maloney is an expert on Iran at the Brookings Institution in Washington.
