Ros Atkins presents a special programme following the release of the أغر؟´«أ½ Gaza correspondent Alan Johnston, after 114 days in captivity.

Mr Johnston was handed over to armed men in Gaza City on 4 July. He said his ordeal was like "being buried alive" but it was "fantastic" to be free.

Speaking live from Jerusalem later, he said that he had had access to a radio and messages of support broadcast on the World Service had got through to him and had buoyed him up during his time in captivity.
