The Consecration of the House: Overture, was written late in the composer鈥檚 career and commissioned in honour of the reopening of the theatre in 1822, whilst Gratulations Minuet was composed as a surprise for Hensler and premiered the evening before his 鈥榥ame-day鈥�.
Mozart鈥檚 Piano Concerto No. 9 was written when the composer was only 21 years old and is today delivered by young German pianist Elisabeth Brau脽. Called "one of the greatest wonders of the world鈥� by Austrian pianist Alfred Brendel, the work is highly regarded by critics.
