Elektra 鈥� Strauss鈥檚 brutal and ferociously powerful retelling of the Greek revenge myth 鈥� continues this weekend鈥檚 opera double bill. The 蜜芽传媒 Symphony Orchestra and Semyon Bychkov are joined by an international cast of soloists, led by American soprano Christine Goerke, with Danish baritone Johan Reuter as her beloved brother Orestes.

Strauss鈥檚 brutal and ferociously powerful retelling of the Greek revenge myth is brought to life by Semyon Bychkov, a long-time champion of his music. The international cast is led by American soprano Christine Goerke, who recently dazzled in the title-role at the Royal Opera House, with Danish baritone Johan Reuter as her beloved brother Orestes.
