Michelangelo's The Creation of Adam: The blockbuster!published at 22:37 British Summer Time 12 September 2021
Our final pose is inspired by a scene that forms part of the Sistine Chapel's ceiling within the Vatican, painted by between 1508 and 1512. It depicts the moment God gives life to humankind. You can't say we don't like a challenge!
The Creation of Adam is one of several frescoes commissioned from Michelangelo by Pope Julius II in 1508, each depicting scenes from the Old Testament. The iconic image in which the fingers of God and Adam almost, but not quite, touch has been described as the most famous detail in Western art and is certainly one of the most replicated religious paintings of all time.

The Creation of Adam, Michelangelo Buonarroti (1475–1564), Fresco, Sistine Chapel.
