The MasterChef semi-finals continue as the remaining seven contestants are surprised by a very special guest. Joining them in the MasterChef kitchen is one of the country’s best chefs, Tom Kitchin.

Their job is to recreate one of his complex and delicious signature recipes. Some have to work with ingredients they have never cooked with before, whilst others must turn their hand to new techniques.

Then it gets personal as the semi-finalists’ places in the competition rest on a dish inspired by someone they love or admire. They need to show that they have the heart and determination to get through. For the two cooks who don’t make the grade, their MasterChef journey will be over.
