The
family run circus uses unique and breathtaking skills to entertain
and amaze its audiences as it works its way around the Cotswolds.
'Dream
of the Pearl', which entitles the current production by the circus,
combines exquisite circus skills with a love story, humour and music
that kept all of the audience entertained from the very young, to
the more mature!

Breathtaking
Breathtaking
weight lifting from the circus' strong man Oleg shocked the audience,
who could only cover their eyes as Oleg lifted weights volunteers
could only dream of!
The
humour was simply undeniable with the circus clown, disguised as
anything but, undertaking a variety of carefully choreographed routines
to amuse and entertain all generations, in between breath taking
acts such as the strong man.
Tradition
In
keeping with the circus tradition, the interval contained the purchasing
of alcohol and popcorn from traditional caravans which add to the
unique atmosphere that GiffordÂ’s circus offers its audiences.
The image of this, set amongst the backdrop of a sunset over the
beautiful village of Frampton – on Severn, gave the entire
experience a magical quality, unrivalled.
The acts
continued to amaze, with tightrope walking whilst playing a violin
and flame throwing becoming a memorable part of the show, alongside
the outstanding routine performed by gymnasts with the aid of a seesaw!
The introduction of frog, whose outstanding costume dazzled the expectant
audience, alongside exquisite work with horses, provided something
for everyone.
Fantastic
The
musical accompaniment was nothing short of fantastic, rousing the
audience into emotions of jubilation and sadness, and inspiring
all to clap their appreciation to the variety of acts.
Among
the best was the fast paced and unique act of the Kenyan Troupe,
who performed a variety of difficult gymnastics and wowed audiences
with their limbo dancing!
Reaction
And
above all, the reaction of the audience to the overall work of the
performers gave justice to the circus itself, the thundering which
IÂ’m sure could be heard along the entire length of the village
green.
GiffordÂ’s
Circus will be appearing at Minchinhampton Common until the 16th
of August 2004.
