I can remember going to a party in the village in a field called Bennet's field. We had jelly and icecream. We all dressed up as children and my mother made up an outfit for me so that I could go as John Bull. I also remember that I had a cardboard bulldog on whhels that I dragged behind me. I was only just over two years old but even today I can remember it quite well.
