This story was submitted to to the People's war site by pupils at Esher High School on behalf of our veteran and has been added to the site with her permission. She fully understands the sites terms and conditions.

Our veteran and her friend were playing in an open space, when out of the corner of her eye they saw a brown corner of a coat. They ran over to it and pulled at it. All of a sudden a whole German uniform fell out. They took it to the police expecting to get a reward insted they were told off because they shouldn't have been on the open land in the first place.
