May people believe that African have made no contribution at all to the ww2.
Some believe that if they did it was trivial/ insignificant or immaterial.
I have a chronicle about the contribution of African people in the ww2. If you wish and will believe me I will send the anecdote to you as soon as I receive your confirmation.

Message 1 - RWAFF

In 1941 I was posted to Freetown and joined a new unit, 2nd West African HAA Regiment, RWAFF.
There were about 50 British other ranks and Nigerian soldiers made up the remainder.
My job was radar and my own crew came from various Nigerian towns.
My memories of African soldiers is one of respect for their localty and sense of humour.
In 1943 the unit moved through India to Assam where we manned HAA sites alongside American air bases. At this point we became part of the 81st WA Division.
