Norfolk Railway 1940s Weekend
User ID: U881425

The North Norfolk Railway held one of their ever popular 1940s weekends on the 18th and 19th of September 2004.

There was a great range of things to see and do including Military Vehicle Displays, Singing and dancing, Re-enactment groups, and veterans from the 92 Squadron. The highlight of the weekend was undoubtedly the Spitfire flypast.

The Peoples War Outreach Officer was there with a team of volunteers from the local Reminiscence Group, Millennium Volunteers, and ÃÛÑ¿´«Ã½ Radio Norfolk, to collect the following stories and memories for the website.

Further details can be found on the North Norfolk Railway website www.nnrailway.co.uk
