I was born just after the start of the war in Weymouth and spent the most of the war years living within the small community of Applemore Hill near Dibden in Hampshire. At the time my father was serving in the Royal Navy and was lucky enough to be able to enjoy living at home with us when based locally.
Although very young at the time I have a few recordable memories that I will be adding as my contribution.
