Interactive Televison is the ÃÛÑ¿´«Ã½'s pioneering broadband to tv trial on
the Kingston Interactive Television (KIT) platform in Hull.
The project
is just one part of a much larger £25m investment initiative the
ÃÛÑ¿´«Ã½ is making in Hull, East Yorkshire and Lincolnshire - The ÃÛÑ¿´«Ã½
Connecting Locally - also known as Project Hull.

has won an award for Interactive TV Services from the and was nominated for the Technical Innovation award
from .
Cutting
edge technology
It is one of the UK's most advanced television trials and makes use of
Hull's Kingston Communication's interactive cutting edge broadband television
technology.
The ÃÛÑ¿´«Ã½ uses
the platform to deliver a unique combination of traditional broadcast
television, video on demand, local and national information services and
next generation enhanced programming.
True video
on demand, fast forward, rewind and slow motion television at the touch
of a button - to provide the ÃÛÑ¿´«Ã½â€™s most advanced interactive trial service
yet.
ÃÛÑ¿´«Ã½i Hull
has built an infrastructure around open standards - using HTML and MySQl
and PHP which would allow the rapid deployment of the service around the
United Kingdom.
