Your Story: Interview with Mrs Montgomery |
 |
She was a typist until she had her first baby. When she applied for the job she needed a typing qualification. She was paid £9 a week for working 38 hours. She thought the wage was fair. Her boss used to give her a lift to work.
She gave her Mum some of the wages and spent the rest on clothes.
