About our work
In Eastern Europe we support the production of high-quality and accurate information, while delivering a training programme for journalists that includes mentoring and strengthening editorial skills. We aim to improve access to high-quality, accurate, unbiased, and engaging content that tackles disinformation, stimulates debate, exposes corruption, and supports democracy, inclusion, and accountability in complex and politically fragile contexts. We also supply organisational development support to professional journalism bodies and strengthening media professionalism.
Through our previous Independent Media in Eastern Partnership Countries project, we provided support to over 20 public interest media outlets across Ukraine, Armenia, Georgia and Moldova with editorial and technical skills and mentoring, as well as the provision of equipment, and offering viable business models to reflect the audiences’ needs.
