Sakari Oramo conducts Mahler’s playful Fourth Symphony – and plays the violin too, as Kurt Weill retells the myth of Orpheus in his own, utterly original style.

This first ÃÛÑ¿´«Ã½ Symphony Orchestra concert features two masterpieces by Richard Strauss in which darkness is transformed into light. Featured artist Leila Josefowicz plays Helen Grime’s Violin Concerto, and Anu Komsi sings Strauss’ Four Last Songs.
