Ratcliffe-on-Soar is a coal-fired power station located eight miles south-west of Nottingham on the A453 near junction 24 on the M1.

Engineers are carrying out maintenance work on one of the cooling towers at the Ratcliffe-On-Soar Power Station.

They'll remove the silt and the fish (yes, fish!) that build up from the river water used in the plant.

Dave Johnson from Powergen says it's part of the power station's green policy.
