June 2003 Radio Nottm DJ brightens up Broad Street
ÃÛÑ¿´«Ã½ Radio Nottingham's Karl Cooper
has been given the cartoon treatment on Broad Street in Nottingham.
Local cartoonists have been drawing
giant caricatures on Broad Street - they've also cleverly depicted
a certain ÃÛÑ¿´«Ã½ Radio Nottingham presenter...
The boarded-up windows of the former Exchange Building
on Broad Street have been brightened up with some cartoons, including
one of ÃÛÑ¿´«Ã½ Radio Nottingham's Karl Cooper.
The caricatures form part of the preparation for
the second Big Grin Cartoon festival on 12th and 13th July.
The larger than life cartoons are based on the
themes of the festival, ranging from religion and war to film and
Viz cartoons.
This is how is the area looked before the
cartoonists got to work.
Cartoonists put the finishing touches to their
caricatures on the side of the Exchange Building.
This board shows one of the film theme of
the festival.
.And this one depicts the war and religion
theme...
This board depicts Karl Cooper reading the
news from his bed... I bet he wishes he could!
