Silver Street
The first week on the street sees the demolition of a
canal-side building that brings the locals out onto the street.
Ìý
It's not clear what plans the developers have for the
area or whether the involvement of local businessman Mushtaq Jilani is
something to celebrate or cause for concern.
Ìý
His children, Rozena and Imran, find themselves divided
by their father's dealings.
Ìý
The Chauhan family are out in number to watch with pride
as their youngest, eight-year-old Krishan, launches the demolition. But
by the end of the day an act of violence throws the close-knit family
into turmoil.
Ìý
Meanwhile, club promoters Kuljit and Sway are on the run
from London, when a car chase lands them in Silver Street.
Ìý
It doesn't take them long to make friends with some locals,
but in the process they also find some very significant enemies.
