Miranda - Christmas Day at 7.15pm and New Year's Day at 8.30pm

The Boy in the Dress - Boxing Day at 6.55pm

The Boy in the Dress is the story of Dennis, a 12 year-old boy who lives in an ordinary house, in an ordinary street, in an ordinary town, but he feels different. A chance view of Kate Moss on the cover of a fashion magazine introduces Dennis to a whole new world of colour and creativity. Thankfully he has an ally in Lisa who decides to teach him everything she knows about the world of fashion and clothes... But can a boy wear a dress, and what will his Headmaster Mr Hawthorn think if he finds out - let alone Dennis’s dad, his best friend Darvesh and his school football team-mates?

John Bishop’s Christmas Show - Monday 22nd December at 9pm

Joining John on stage at the Dominion Theatre in London's West End will be some of the most exciting names in music and comedy: George Ezra and Ella Henderson will both be performing their big hits from the year while funny men Jack Whitehall and Jason Byrne will be just two of the comedians supplying the laughs.

Doctor Who: Last Christmas - Christmas Day at 6.15pm

Santa and the Doctor star in a new adventure

The Doctor and Clara face their Last Christmas. Trapped on an arctic base and under attack from terrifying creatures, who are you going to call? Santa Claus!

Mapp and Lucia - 29th, 30th and 31st December at 9pm

It's mid-summer in Tilling and Miss Elizabeth Mapp, the town’s resident schemer and woman of great self-importance, is anticipating a special guest. But Lucia is the resident queen of her own home town: vain, selfish, imperious and, in short, a glorious snob. Tilling cannot possible contain these two women - let battle commence and the worst woman win!

Bruce’s Hall Of Fame - Saturday 27th December at 8.30pm

Sir Bruce takes to the stage alongside some of the UK’s best loved entertainers at the world-famous London Palladium, to celebrate the artists who inspired their careers. Joining Sir Bruce are EastEnders actress Jessie Wallace, jazz-pop singer-songwriter Jamie Cullum, comedian and actor Jason Manford, actor Ben Miller; English tenor and actor Alfie Boe and impressionist Jon Culshaw.

Still Open All Hours - starts Boxing Day at 6.25pm

The new series sees Sir David Jason reprise his role as Granville, who has inherited the corner shop from his beloved but miserly Uncle Arkwright. Now running the business with his cheerful and good looking son, Leroy, who was the result of a whirlwind romance one night in Blackpool 20-odd years ago - the poor lad has never really met his mother and Granville does his best to keep it that way.

Citizen Khan - Friday 19th December, 8.30pm

Mr Khan's in a very festive mood

It’s Christmas Eve and Mr Khan is feeling extremely festive - he’s even got a new Christmas suit. And what’s more, this year he’s been given the honour of placing the star on top of the Sparkhill inter-faith Christmas Tree. But when the whole family gathers at the Khan house, it turns out that Shazia has other plans and a frantic chain of events is set in motion...

Not Going Out Christmas Special - Christmas Eve at 9.25pm

The will-they-won’t-they tension between Lee and Lucy reaches new highs in this epic series finale for Christmas, as the couple find themselves in previously uncharted emotional water. Mrs Brown’s Boys - Christmas Day at 10.05pm and 9.35pm

In 'Mammy’s Tickled Pink', it’s the usual chaos for Agnes as Christmas descends on the Brown household. The arrival of a large box for Cathy has Agnes intrigued…and she’s even more intrigued when she realises that she’s the only family member who doesn’t know what’s inside it!

And in 'Mammy’s Gamble' Agnes is determined to make sure she doesn’t fall victim to the recent crime wave. Not only has she fitted a reinforced steel bolt to her back door, but she’s asked Buster Brady to install a state-of-the-art alarm system. If only Buster didn’t get all his gear off the back of a van.

An all-star cast appear in Professor Branestawm

Harry Hill makes his acting debut as Professor Branestawm in this brand new family film. Professor Branestawm is the original mad professor, an absent-minded inventor who is oblivious to the chaos his hare-brained creations cause when they go wrong - which they always do. If it weren’t for the efforts of his friends, the professor would long ago have blown himself to smithereens...

EastEnders - throughout the Christmas period, including Christmas Day at 9pm

Secrets and lies have a habit of coming out in Walford, and this Christmas is no exception. Since arriving in the square the Carter family has settled into The Queen Victoria, but although Mick may think that everything is running smoothly for his family he is unaware that a few of them are harbouring dark secrets of their own. With ticking time bomb Dean lurking, the Carters are set to explode.

On Angel Wings - Christmas Eve at 4.15pm

This Christmas animation is the magical re-working of the nativity story, based on the book by leading storyteller Michael Morpurgo. With an all-star voice cast, including Michael Gambon, Juliet Stevenson, Dominic Cooper and Colin McFarlane.

Strictly Come Dancing Christmas Special - Christmas Day at 5pm

Deck the halls with glitter balls…Sir Bruce Forsyth returns to the ballroom alongside Tess Daly for the Strictly Come Dancing Christmas Special, as six of the most memorable contestants from years past return for a festive edition of the nation’s much loved show.

Roald Dahl’s Esio Trot - New Year's Day at 6.30pm

Dustin Hoffman & Judi Dench star

Mr Hoppy (Dustin Hoffman) lives a quiet retiree's life, tending to his balcony garden and secretly being hopelessly in love with his neighbour, Mrs Silver (Judi Dench). When he finds that she is distraught because her beloved tortoise Alfie doesn’t appear to be growing, Mr Hoppy spots a chance to make his true love happy, and maybe even get closer to her in the process...

Call the Midwife - Christmas Day at 7.50pm

The episode opens in 2005 - Jennifer Worth is at home preparing for Christmas with husband Philip, and as she reminisces about her youth at Nonnatus House, the drama cuts back to 1960... Chummy tries to choreograph dancing snowflakes for the Sunday School Christmas Concert while Trixie sets to work designing a Father Christmas outfit for Fred to wear. Meanwhile, Cynthia is drawn deeply into a case concerning two former residents of a Victorian mental hospital who have been left to fend for themselves, and are barely coping. This causes Cynthia to make a life-changing decision.

Michael McIntyre’s Very Christmassy Christmas Show - Christmas Day at 10.40pm

As families up and down the country cosy up for Christmas, Michael will be doing what he does best - putting Christmas under his merry microscope: from the presents and the decorations, the cracker jokes and the family arguments, not to mention the never-ending piles of leftover dinner.
