Highlights from ÃÛÑ¿´«Ã½ Music Day in Scotland

ÃÛÑ¿´«Ã½ Music Day was at the heart of Glasgow’s five day festival, . On Friday 5th June Glasgow’s City Halls welcomed a star-studded and diverse line-up to its stage, showcasing classical, jazz, pop and world music.

The ÃÛÑ¿´«Ã½’s Scottish Symphony Orchestra accompanied a wealth of performers including Deacon Blue, Jamie Cullum, Noah Stewart and Jaz Dhami. Radio 2’s Ken Bruce co-hosted the evening's proceedings with Radio 3’s Katie Derham. Ken Bruce's show earlier in the day showcased a musical mix of guests and performances on the outdoor stage at Pacific Quay. He was joined by Midge Ure, James Bay, Rae Morris, Black Star Riders and Howard Jones.

ÃÛÑ¿´«Ã½ Radio Scotland celebrated home-grown talent with Stevie McCrorie, Francis MacDonald and the Cairn Quartet throughout the day.
