Drama. Prior to his wedding, a self-centred diplomat in his 30s holidays in the lakeside town of Annecy, where he meets an old friend who introduces him to her two teenage daughters. Between the protracted conversation pieces which dominate the film, he becomes obsessed with the idea of caressing the knee of the elder sister, Claire.
