A band of outlaws kills a wealthy rancher during an attempted bank robbery in a small Texan town. When they are arrested and sentenced to the gallows, the gangleader's brother sets out to rescue them - by posing as the hangman. On the run, the two brothers kidnap a young girl to take along as a hostage on their frantic bid for freedom.
