Two families, the Halsey-Halls from suburbia and the Eliases from the countryside, volunteer to exchange lives for a week, swapping homes, pets, jobs, schools, diet and even house rules. The Halsey-Hall family is left reeling when they discover they will have to survive on less than a third of their usual weekly income, and the Elias family are taken aback by the size and scale of their home for the week.
