Series looking at the indigenous music genres of Europe. On the road with the Warsaw Village Band, as they travel by local buses into the heart of rural Poland, seeking out surviving old-time musicians and instrument makers. The band is re-connecting with and re-inventing Poland's marginalised folk tradition, but bring a radical contemporary energy to a music that lost its credibility thanks to the state-sponsored 'fakelore' of the communist period.
