The cookery competition where the UK's best chefs compete is back as they have to produce cutting edge cuisine for an event that will be hosted by Heston Blumenthal.

The country’s chefs have cooked for the Queen and for the French. Now they will be competing to cook a four course dinner at London's Gherkin building, hosted by Heston Blumenthal. Judge Matthew Fort will select two chefs from each region. This time, in Scotland, he chooses between Michael Smith, Matthew Gray, Tony Singh and Tom Kitchin. The seven winners from the regional heats will then cook in the national finals.
