Comic novelist, script writer and creator of the immortal Reginald Perrin, David Nobbs reads from his 2001 autobiography, ‘I Didn’t Get Where I Am Today’.
In this episode, David recalls his early years, from Orpington to Cambridge via Marlborough – twice.
In addition to writing ‘The Rise and Fall of Reginald Perrin’, Nobbs also created ‘A Bit of a Do’ and ‘Shine a Light’, as well as penning twenty novels. He died in 2015, aged 80.
