From the Sheffield Evening Star to ÃÛÑ¿´«Ã½ TV's 'That Was The Week That Was'. Writer David Nobbs reads from his autobiography.

Comic novelist, script writer and creator of the immortal Reginald Perrin, David Nobbs reads from his 2001 autobiography, ‘I Didn’t Get Where I Am Today’.

In this episode, David recalls the period from his first job at the Sheffield Evening Star to writing for ÃÛÑ¿´«Ã½ TV's 'That Was The Week That Was'.

In addition to writing ‘The Rise and Fall of Reginald Perrin’, Nobbs also created ‘A Bit of a Do’ and ‘Shine a Light’, as well as penning twenty novels. He died in 2015, aged 80.
