Martha Takes the Cake

Animated series based on the bestselling books by Susan Meddaugh. When Martha, a loveable, honest and kind dog, is accidentally fed alphabet soup, she gains the power of speech. Using her speaking abilities Martha gets jobs, foils bad guys, wins contests, runs for office and orders lots of pizza!
It is Alice's birthday and everybody is invited, including Martha. The only problem is that Nelson, Martha's cat nemesis, will be there too. When somebody (or some animal) ruins the birthday cake, Alice's brother Ronald thinks Martha's responsible. Martha proclaims her innocence, but why was she surrounded by cake crumbs?
