A story of Gaels and the camera. Scotland's Gaels were among the first people anywhere to be photographed, many posing for the camera as early as 1843. The programme reveals and examines how photographers have depicted the Gaels and Gaeldom since those first images a century and a half ago. This is more than a film about photography - it is a rich and highly visual social history of the Hebrides.
