Animation about a time-travelling brother and sister called Garth and Bev, who live in harmony with nature in their village long ago. They are transported to different times and places by the Time Spiral and solve problems with the help of Grandfather Lir.

Garth and Bev help Grandfather Lir to wash and dry his cloak after some naughty animals mess it up. Breck the Basket Maker shows them that the cloak flaps up in the air when it dries over his fire. That's just how Joseph and Etienne Montgolfier got the idea for their hot-air balloon.
