A family holiday does not bring out the best in anyone. And Blake's father is still in denial about his health. From April 1994.

Blake's father is still in denial about the severity of his ailing health. He sleeps a lot while Blake and his mother awkwardly discuss funeral arrangements. He was not that well thought of by his patients - some were offended by his brusque manner.

And memories of a family holiday in Austria when Blake and his sister were adults but their father still tried to dominate.

Read, written and abridged by Blake Morrison.
