Amy Winehouse

Amy Winehouse's intimate 2006 performance from Other Voices, a music event recorded in a small church, in the small Irish village of Dingle.

In October 2006, Amy Winehouse released Back to Black, her second studio album and the record that would define her. It went onto win a Brit Award, two Ivor Novello Awards, and, in February 2007, five Grammys, including Best New Artist and Song and Record of the Year. On December 3rd, 2006, Amy appeared in Other Voices, a music event recorded in the small Irish village of Dingle in County
Kerry, Ireland. Fans have called it her best performance ever.

This is how she should be remembered. When she took to the stage in the sixty-seat Church of Saint James, she absolutely wowed the small crowd, singing six songs accompanied - for that one night only - by just a guitar and a bass.

In that unique, stripped down formation Amy Winehouse delivered a searing, wonderful set that will never be forgotten by anyone who was lucky enough to be there. Amy Winehouse was a star, this recording shows her when she was shining at her very brightest. Her revelatory comments give us unique insight into Amy as both artist and person.
