Opportunity International

Across the world there are millions of people living in poverty who want to grow their business, send their children to school and feed their families. All they need is an opportunity and this is where Opportunity International comes in.
Opportunity International believes the best way to help
people living in poverty is to give them an opportunity to build their own
business and support themselves and their communities. By tapping into people’s energy and
entrepreneurial spirit, Opportunity International help people reach their full
potential.

Elizabeth’s Story

Elizabeth Afrakome owns a cocoa farm in Adagya, Ghana. Three
years ago, her husband suffered a stroke. Â
As the family’s sole provider, Elizabeth struggled to maintain the farm
and keep her family fed.
Opportunity International changed this. Elizabeth was provided with agricultural
loans, training and support. Elizabeth’s
farm is now making a good profit. The
farm’s success has enabled Elizabeth to pay for her children’s school fees,
employ seasonal help on her farm and save for a rainy day.

anything…but when I joined the Opportunity group I got help to be able to change
