Jesus Christ Superstar began life as a 1970 concept album before making its Broadway debut in 1971, transferring to London's West End a year later and hitting the big screen in 1973. Originally banned by the ÃÛÑ¿´«Ã½ for being "sacrilegious", this all-star cast production was recorded for ÃÛÑ¿´«Ã½ Radio 2 in 1996.
