Habitat for Humanity鈥檚 vision is a world where everyone has a safe place to call home. We believe decent homes are the heartbeat of strong communities. We upgrade urban slums and informal settlements, improve access to water and sanitation, fight for land rights for women, and help communities become more resilient in the face of natural disasters. By working hand in hand with communities, since 1976 we have helped over 22 million people in over 75 countries.

We help people like Amira who is just one of over 5 million people who fled Syria after war broke out. Her new shelter, in a crowded refugee camp, was in urgent need of repairs. Thankfully, we were able to help. She says, 鈥淥ur home now has a water tank, a proper toilet and kitchen.鈥�

Thanks to the kindness of our supporters, families across the world have been lifted out of desperate housing poverty. Our presenter, Jan Eldred has been building homes overseas with us for 14 years. She says, 鈥淎s a Habitat for Humanity volunteer I know I鈥檝e made a difference.鈥�
